You'll see plenty of them if you go to Tampa's Lettuce Lake Park in August. They were close enough to photograph but not too close for comfort. At least not too close for my comfort. Others might think just looking at pictures of spiders is too close!
I forgot to bring my tripod, which I regretted. A lot of these would have turned out much better if they had been steadier shots. Live and learn.

Garden Gallery
These are some of my favorite images from my recent trip to Pennsylvania to photograph gardens for a landscape architect's website. Most of these are not on the site because the shots needed for that show the design elements of the garden. My interest is mostly colors.
The woman who appears twice (if you watch long enough) is the landscape architect. Her name is Jamie Collins and if you happen to live in New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania and have thought about turning your yard into a true showpiece, she's the one to do it. She marries a love of plants with a mastery of the technical aspects of design. She really does terrific work. Her website is www.CedarLineDesign.com.
She also has a photogenic cat and a table that provided indoor still life shots.

Web Photography
I just returned from a trip to Pennsylvania that was part business, part pleasure. While there I designed and built a website for a landscape architecture business. I took all the photographs for the site except for three "before" pictures.
That's the gallery page. I was really pleased how the whole site turned out. My friend wanted something simple and elegant. We agree that she got it. It helped to have some stunning scenery to photograph. I will make a slide show of some of the images and post them soon.
I'm not an expert website builder but I know enough HTML, CSS and Flash to get by.
